Cultural Heritage / Media Production / Training / Museum Development
We have been working in Sudan for the past decade, helping to develop and preserve the country’s cultural heritage. Working as part of a multi-national team we run workshops and training courses, in partnership with the National Museum of Sudan, to help build skills and capacity in all aspects of digital media, including filmmaking, photography, archiving and museum services.
In late 2018 we began work on a new project in Sudan, working alongside the British Council, Kings College London and Mallinson Architects, to refurbish 3 regional museums, in El Obeid, Omdurman and Nyala. Over the next year we will be running workshops in Sudan and producing a range of media assets, including films, photography and audio, celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Sudan’s unique cultural heritage has been disrupted and undermined by decades of conflict and displacement; more than 4 million people are internally displaced. Our goal is to enable at least some of these people to reconnect with their heritage.
