Discoveries: A Video Installation for the National Museum of Scotland

The National Museum of Scotland’s ‘Discoveries Galllery’ explores two centuries of Scottish discovery, invention and innovation around the world. We were commissioned by the museum to create a video installation to help bring these stories to life, using a range of static archive material, including documents, maps, portraits, letters and illustrations. The final piece is a rich and textured projection, creating moving imagery from a time before images moved. The project’s success is a testament to the skill and creativity of designer and animator Luke Spurgeon.
